After School Enrichment Program

Months of Operation: October – April

Day of Operation: Wednesdays

Hours of Operation: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

If School is canceled we do not meet.

The After School Enrichment Program for children in elementary school begins the first Wednesday in October and runs through the end of April.

Volunteers meet the children at the bus stop across from BB&T Bank on Wednesday's after school (when school is operating) and walk them to the church basement Fellowship Hall.

Jane begins with a Bible based opening activity and blessing over the food. Volunteers provide nutritious snacks and assistance with homework.

Jim and Ursula have led the children in puppet making depicting characters from the Bible and biblical stories are acted out at the end of the year for parents, our congregation, and shared with the residents at the Landmark Center.

Homework is our prime concern but when time permits we have made cards for the military or Brenner Children's Hospital, had guest speakers, or taken field trips. This program time ends at 5:00 p.m. and will go through the end of April.

Please let us know if you are willing to volunteer in some way or know of children that would be interested in attending this program. We sent letters to teachers at Stuart Elementary School in September. Be in prayer for us as we work with the children to enhance them physically, mentally, and spiritually.
